I worked in the garden at Charleston Farmhouse in the 1990’s - with my partner we did our best to stop visitors taking plant cuttings home with them. We were paid in tea and cake and we loved it!! More recently I visited the garden again and with permission took a few cuttings myself to make some prints.

My own garden is a great inspiration - quite wild and unkempt in places and I have used a lot of plants from here in my work. This was one of a series I made about the garden.
SEAFORD BOOK - concertina book.
A limited edition of 20 books that I made for a show at The Crypt Gallery in Seaford. I used, with permission, plants growing out of pavements and the roadside including Vetch, Thrift and Rock Samphire. Humble beauty.
